This trailer has me welled with tears and emotion. One of my all-time favorite albums and one that has been with me since I was child. The nostalgia of this album takes me back to road trips with my family, just as Mr. Koenig mentions among many other new memories as an adult.
If you are not aware of Paul Simon’s masterful Graceland, take a listen.

Ezra and his crowd healing powers
Ezra Koenig: What some people might not know is that we were the band who played on the main stage before Oasis when they broke up in Paris at the Rock en Seine Festival. When they made the announcement, there were tens of thousands of crying French teenagers in the front row. And uhm, using my crowd healing powers, I went out, and comforted them.
Chris Baio: One by one.
Ezra: One by one. And I made at least three 15 year old girls stop crying.

Anonymous asked: natalie is 100% one of the vw guys. this is how bands generate buzz now. they "leak" demos and go anonymous on tumblr blogs. in the 90s they used to give their tapes to important people at clubs. different times, different methods. just look at lana del rey's success. the vw guys seem to have trustworthy friends, why would any of them divulge information for no personal gain?

Anonymous asked: I'm a friend of the songwriter, he composed it on FL10. he sampled the little chorus beep noise from the song Gone by the weeknd that is the sample. it was pitch shifted and chopped up. after hearing that vampire weekend was a fan of drake he listen to a lot of OVO tracks to get the 40 shebib sound for LP3, he did three other tracks for lp3. illangelo does not want to give them the sample...
